Kedaireka Matching Fund Project with the title “Optimization of Participatory Water Management to Prevent Bog Burst Disasters (Peat Beach Landslides) and Forest and Land Fires on Bengkalis Island”.
This activity is a collaboration between the Riau University Team, Yamaguchi University, Bengkalis State Polytechnic, BRIN and in partnership with the Peat and Mangrove Restoration Agency of the Republic of Indonesia.
Soil sampling at pristine peatland, palm oil plantation area, industrial forest, and after-fire area, in Riau. In collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. 2020-2021.
Ground breaking a facility for knowledge sharing on tropical restoration at Tanjung Leban Village, Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, 2021. The facility is funded by UNOPS (United Nation Organization for Project Services) at the restored area after 2008 big peat fire.
CPDS (PSB) in collaboration with CIFOR (Center for International Forest Research) and SEDAGHO does action research participatory on farming without burning, peatland restoration, and fire prevention in Siak Regency, Riau Province.
